The space between two countries

I spent part of 2024 in Singapore working closely with organizations supporting social innovation, cultural heritage, and small and medium-sized businesses. What I brought back was not only experience, but a network, and a clearer sense of how much Cambodia and Singapore could offer each other if someone stayed committed to keeping the connection alive.

Back in Phnom Penh, I started where I could, welcoming Singapore delegations and spending time understanding two markets that often misread each other in subtle ways.

The connecting work rarely announces itself. It often looks like small, almost invisible moments. An introduction that turns into a partnership months later. A founder who reconsiders a market they had set aside. A company realizing it is more ready for the region than it thought.

Cambodia and Singapore share complementary strengths in entrepreneurship, innovation, and investment. When those strengths meet through the right people, the result is not always immediate, but it tends to be lasting.
